"Two days ago, his immediate boss bought lunch for all employees to celebrate one year of an accident-free workplace. My husband was responsible for that accomplishment.

He received a bonus last year for the first time."

Ruby, I just don't understand this kind of corporate penny-wise pound foolish selective stupidity.

Your husband not only saved them money (accidents/injuries are expen$$$$$$ive), the company rewarded his expertise and leadership with a bonus.

When they start having expensive accidents and injuries, they will try to hire cheap (not the career experience/expertise of your husband) and it won't work. They will end up paying more for what they could have kept- had they had common business risk management sense--your husband.

Sending you and your hubby wishes for a new venture that will reward him his true worth.
